Job Description:

On behalf of our client, we are looking for a Senior Staff Consultant who will be responsible for implementing audit solutions for a team that supports USAF FIAR activities for annual independent public accounting (IPA) financial statement audit liaison.

Job Responsibilities:

Develop/write scripts used to reconcile and validate financial data (e.g. to reconcile data between 2 systems), using tools like Python, SQL, SAS (Base/Enterprise Guide) or ACL.
Should be familiar with programming syntax and commands to execute logic and crosswalk tables to interpret/calculate data.
Apply project management experience including managing schedules, timelines, and communications with clients.
Quickly learn audit readiness infrastructure and financial management/accounting concepts and guidance.
Assist with evaluation, development, programming, and execution of on-going reconciliations.
Work with clients and team to coordinate development and resolution of identified analytical deficiencies.
Support enduring audit readiness and internal controls by advising and assisting with implementation and compliance with FMFIA 1982, OMB Circular A-123, OMB Bulletin No 01-02, FFMIA 1996, and GAO “Green Book.”
Provide audit liaison support to assist in the communications necessary to support financial statement audit, including maintenance and execution of audit infrastructure. Maintain, configure, provide administrative services, update and use the centralized audit response tools to retain audit documents to facilitate audit liaison activities for financial statement audits.

Requirements

Job Requirements

Four (4) year accounting degree preferred, or data science degree with experience in Financial Statement Auditing or Audit Readiness.
DoD SECRET clearance required.
Experience applying Python, SQL, SAS (Base/Enterprise Guide) or ACL to provide data analysis solutions for accounting and financial auditing.
CPA, CIA, CISA, CDFM, or CGFM Certification a plus.
GAAP / GAGAS / ICOFR experience.
Ability to prepare clear, concise written correspondence.
Detail oriented and proven organizational skills.
Experience communicating with stakeholders with ease.
