We currently have an exciting opportunity to join us as a Polisher within our growing Polishing Team on both our fixed day shift and fixed night shift.
Days is working 6am-3pm and night shift is 6pm -6am.
In a nutshell you will be responsible for:
You will be working within a team of polishers processing various parts for castings, turned parts, pressings & spouts for various plating finish standards, predominantly for chrome and nickel finishes, with a total of ten finishes across all ranges produced.
What you are already great at:
- Polishing of components to the high-quality standard required by the company.
- Ensuring all work is undertaken in accordance with any work instructions / procedures.
- Ensuring preventative maintenance schedules are completed as required.
- Reporting any quality issues / concerns to the team leader.
- Carrying out routine maintenance when required.
- Notifying the team leader of consumable items that are out of stock.
- Maintaining good communications and relationships throughout the company.
- Ensuring compliance with company procedures and make suggestions for improvement.
- Ensuring compliance with Health and Safety requirements.
- Maintaining a clean, safe working environment and good housekeeping standards and ensure 5S standards are maintained.
- Willing to be trained in line with the skills matrix.
- To be trained and guided by the training mentors.
For this role we would need you to demonstrate:
- Extensive experience of working in the brass polishing industry - Essential.
- Familiar with the linishing and grinding aspects of the polishing process in preparation for the final stages of polishing - Essential.
- Previous experience polishing kitchen and bathroom fittings - Essential.
