We're seeking a seasoned System Administrator to lead virtualization, storage, identity, and collaboration services for our enterprise infrastructure—with a specific focus on securing systems that support core banking functions. This role plays a vital part in safeguarding customer and institutional data through resilient architecture, robust controls, and proactive threat mitigation. You’ll also drive operational efficiency through automation and help shape our infrastructure strategy for scalability and compliance.
Key Responsibilities
- Administer VMware ESXi hosts and vSphere platforms supporting banking systems
- Design, deploy, and maintain highly available, compliant virtual infrastructures
- Oversee SAN performance and reliability across multi-site environments
- Implement and enforce security controls across virtual machines, SAN environments, and data flows
- Manage Microsoft Active Directory for secure authentication, access control, and auditing
- Administer Microsoft 365 tools with special focus on compliance, information governance, and secure collaboration:
- SharePoint Online and OneDrive for Business for protected content sharing and retention
- Exchange Online, Teams, and associated security/compliance tooling
- Support data protection strategies: backups, replication, and disaster recovery
- Monitor system health with proactive performance and security analysis
- Develop and maintain automation scripts (PowerShell or similar) to reduce manual work and improve response time to threats and service needs
- Collaborate with InfoSec teams to harden infrastructure and respond to security audits
- Follow patching and firmware best practices aligned with regulatory requirements
- Create and maintain system documentation, policies, and procedures
- Track and respond to service tickets and ensure timely resolution
Qualifications & Experience
Education:
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field—or equivalent experience and certifications
Certifications (Preferred):
- VMware Certified Professional (VCP), VCAP
- Microsoft MS-100, MS-101, or Azure Administrator Associate
- Security certifications (e.g., CompTIA Security+, CISSP) are a plus
Experience:
- 5–10 years in enterprise systems administration, including secure infrastructure design
- Deep experience with VMware, SAN, and Microsoft AD
- Hands-on with M365 security and compliance settings, including SharePoint and OneDrive
- Experience in financial services, fintech, or regulated industries highly preferred
- Strong understanding of threat vectors and mitigation strategies in virtualized environments
- Proficient with automation for system hardening, reporting, and service delivery
- Effective communicator across technical, security, and business teams
