Responsibilities
Kforce has a client that is seeking a System Administrator in Denver, CO. Summary: Our client in Downtown Denver is seeking a skilled System Administrator to maintain, support, and optimize our organization's IT infrastructure. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing servers, networks, and system software while ensuring high levels of performance, availability, and security. Key Responsibilities:
- System Administrator will install, configure, and maintain servers, networks, and system software (Windows/Linux)
- Monitor system performance and ensure reliability, availability, and optimal performance
- Troubleshoot hardware and software issues across local and cloud environments
- Implement and manage backup, disaster recovery, and business continuity solutions
- Apply system patches, updates, and security configurations to maintain a secure environment
- Manage Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, Group Policy, and user account provisioning
- Assist in maintaining virtualization platforms (e.g., VMware, Hyper-V) and cloud environments (e.g., AWS, Azure)
- As a System Administrator, you will maintain documentation of system configurations, processes, and procedures
- Collaborate with IT team members to plan and implement system upgrades and migrations
- Provide technical support and training to internal teams and end-users as needed
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
- Proven experience as a System Administrator, Network Administrator, or similar role
- Hands-on experience with virtualization, backup solutions, and system monitoring tools
- Strong knowledge of Windows and/or Linux server environments
- Familiarity with network protocols, firewalls, and routing
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Excellent communication and documentation abilities
- Relevant certifications (e.g., CompTIA Network+, Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator, RHCSA, VMware Certified Professional) are a plus
Preferred Skills
- Experience with PowerShell scripting or automation tools
- Knowledge of cloud infrastructure and services (Azure, AWS, GCP)
- Understanding of ITIL practices and ticketing systems (e.g., ServiceNow, Jira)
The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.
We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
