DataPerk is seeking a talented Network Technician Tier 2 to contribute to our mission of providing exceptional IT services tailored to the specific needs of our clients.
Role And Responsibilities
General Networking
- Possess a strong understanding of general networking concepts and the OSI model.
- Install, troubleshoot, and repair structured cabling, and review technical drawings.
- Configure and troubleshoot DHCP and DNS (server and gateway).
- Perform latency checks, packet captures, and review overall network health.
Switching/Routing
- Install, configure, and troubleshoot switches and routers (Fortinet, Meraki, Cisco).
- Understand broadcast domains and implement VLANs.
- Install, configure, and troubleshoot switch stacking and power failover.
- Understand and troubleshoot network topologies.
Firewalls
- Install, configure, and troubleshoot firewalls and site to site VPNs (Fortinet, Meraki, Cisco).
- Install, configure and troubleshoot client SSL-VPNs (Fortinet, Meraki, Cisco).
- Experience maintaining licensing and configuration backup plan.
Wireless
- Implement, configure, and troubleshoot wireless systems including Fortinet, Meraki, Cisco, and UniFi.
- Maintain licensing and backup configuration plans for wireless systems.
Intermediate Experience
- Microsoft 365 administration, configuration, and troubleshooting
- Server administration, configuration, and troubleshooting
- Storage administration, configuration, and troubleshooting
- Network administration, configuration, and troubleshooting

Requirements
A bachelor's degree in the area of specialty or an equivalent combination of education and experience. At least five years of industry experience in Network Administration. Possess at least one of the following certifications:
- CompTIA Network+
- Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA 200-301
- Cisco Certified DevNet Associate
- Fortinet NSE 4-6
Possess Two Or More Of The Following Certifications
- Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator Associate
- Microsoft Certified: Azure Security Engineer Associate
- Microsoft Certified: Windows Server Administration Fundamentals
- CompTIA Server+
- CompTIA Security+
- Certified Ethical Hacker
- VMware Certified Professional (VCP)
- Red Hat Certified Engineer (RHCE)
- Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA)
- Associate in computer science or comparable experience
