Position Overview:
The Network Administrator is responsible for managing and maintaining enterprise network infrastructure to ensure the stable, secure, and efficient operation of data networks and services. This role involves deploying, operating, optimizing, and supporting network technologies across on-premises and cloud environments. The Network Administrator will work closely with a collaborative team to support business and technology initiatives.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Install, configure, and deploy network architecture supporting LAN, WAN, and Azure cloud networking needs.
- Configure and deploy network hardware and third-party cloud network connections and services.
- Troubleshoot complex network performance issues using packet captures and log analysis.
- Collaborate with network solution providers to design enterprise network topology, routing, and service levels.
- Implement monitoring, alerting, and response runbooks across network platforms.
- Follow established Incident, Problem Management, and Change Advisory Board (CAB) processes.
- Perform network capacity planning and ensure infrastructure meets current and future business needs, including disaster recovery planning.
- Support project and implementation teams by providing network architecture and solutions in a fast-paced environment.
- Coordinate installation and upgrades of network hardware and software across the enterprise.
- Research, evaluate, and recommend network products, services, and standards.
- Participate in lifecycle management of network infrastructure, including hardware refreshes and software upgrades.
- Install, manage, and operate security infrastructure such as firewalls, antivirus solutions, and intrusion detection systems.
- Plan, design, and deploy Wireless LAN (WLAN) solutions.
- Interact and negotiate with vendors and service providers for procurement of network products and services.
- Create and maintain accurate network documentation.
Qualifications & Experience:
- 2–4 years of experience with the following technologies:Palo Alto Firewalls
- Cisco Catalyst and Nexus switches
- Cisco Unified Wireless solutions (ISE, Prime Infrastructure)
- F5 BIG-IP (multiple modules)
- Public Cloud platforms (Azure, AWS)
- Experience working with Microsoft and Linux operating systems.
- Hands-on experience with automation tools or frameworks such as Ansible, Nornir, Python, Terraform, or Go.
- Experience managing data center environments or data center service providers.
