We are seeking an experienced Systems Administrator with a proven track record in managing production environments. Individuals that are best suited for this role will have at least 3 years of professional experience in a Systems Administrator role. Under the direction of the Information Technology Manager, provide high quality planning, support, and oversight on all activities related to the design, development and implementation of computer systems and software applications. This includes configuring, maintaining, and supporting all of Fox World Travel’s existing application infrastructure as well as future technology integrations as they arise. Perform a variety of maintenance, evaluation, and installation to ensure the infrastructure performance meets company and user requirements.
Essential Duties And Responsibilities
This list of duties and responsibilities is not all inclusive and may be expanded to include other duties and responsibilities as management may deem necessary from time to time.
A day in the life of a Systems Administrator at Fox may include:
- Performing configuration, monitoring, administration, and support on computer systems, public cloud environment database, and enterprise-level applications, including but not limited to:
- Software-as-a-Service Applications
- CRMs
- Network infrastructure, with a general understanding of LAN and WAN technologies, and how they are monitored.
- DNS logic
- Collaboration Tool Suite
- Enterprise Contact Center
- System Automation Tools
- End-user Computing Environment
- Industry-specific Applications
- Responding to level 2 and above customer support request tickets, calls and emails as needed, including but not limited to:
- Taking ownership and managing support tickets as assigned.
- Assisting other team members with troubleshooting to identify root cause and provide technical support when needed.
- Updating help desk service ticket work notes, providing updates, status, and completion information.
- Collaborating with other departments and external vendors to resolve requests in a timely manner.
- Performing regular scheduled systems maintenance, patching, and audits, including backups, ensuring system availability and
that effective alerts are in place in the case of failure.
- In collaboration with the Systems Architect, implementing new technology solutions aligned with business initiatives.
- Participating in team rotation of on-call, after-hours support.
- Maintaining confidentiality with regards to the information being processed, stored, or accessed as part of daily work assignments/requests.
- Maintaining a favorable and collaborative working relationship with co-workers across all departments to foster an environment of trust and mutual respect. Driving standards and best practices whenever possible and effectively fostering a culture of engagement.
- Enhancing the organization’s reputation by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests; exploring opportunities to add value to job accomplishments.
- Being innovative and recommending new approaches, policies, and procedures to promote continual improvements in efficiency of operations and services performed.
- Other duties, projects and alternate assignments as determined by business need.

This Opportunity Might Be For You If You Have
- 3+ years of demonstrated experience in a Systems Administrator role, required.
- Bachelor/associate degree or related IT certifications, preferred.
- Intermediate to advanced experience working with Microsoft SharePoint, Office365, Azure, and Intune including experience with development and administration.
- Experience using scripting languages and best practices, with a preference in experience using Microsoft PowerShell.
- Experience with administering and supporting cloud-based endpoint security platforms is preferred. Familiarity with CrowdStrike (Falcon platform) is a plus, but candidates with hands-on experience using comparable endpoint detection and response (EDR) or endpoint protection solutions are encouraged to apply.
- Strong knowledge of current cyber security practices with a willingness to expand skills as part of systems administration.
- Knowledge of current database technologies including MSSQL and MySQL.
- Experience with Linux is a plus.
- Familiarity with Salesforce or GlobalWare systems helpful.
- Demonstrates strong communication skills to convey technical concepts to diverse audiences and excels in providing exceptional customer service through effective troubleshooting and support.
- Maintaining professional and technical knowledge, and have the ability to learn and research new technologies quickly.
- Ability to make decisions and judgments while analyzing, evaluating, and problem-solving technical matters. – Critical solutions thinking (think outside the box, solutions based)
- Ability to work flexible hours within and outside of scheduled shift.
- Effective listening skills with ability to determine root cause quickly, check for shared understanding and address misunderstandings promptly. (Combine with above)
- Ability to regularly lift up to 50 lbs. in order to meet technological needs.
- Must possess a valid driver’s license and have the ability to drive in order to meet technological needs.
