The Senior Systems Administrator plays a critical role in ensuring the stability, security, and continuous improvement of the organization’s technology environment. This position blends deep technical expertise with strong problem-solving, collaboration, and leadership skills. The ideal candidate is proactive, adaptable, and comfortable serving as both a hands-on technical expert and a trusted partner to the business.
This role will act as an escalation point for complex technical issues, mentor members of the IT team, and help drive infrastructure modernization and operational excellence.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
Systems & Infrastructure Operations
- Monitor, prioritize, and resolve support requests using strong analytical and troubleshooting skills
- Serve as an escalation point for complex or high-impact technical issues across the organization
- Maintain and administer computing environments, including servers, networks, endpoints, operating systems, applications, and all related configurations
- Perform and oversee data backups, disaster recovery, and business continuity processes to ensure system resilience and availability
- Ensure system performance, reliability, and security through proactive monitoring and maintenance
Security, Documentation & Compliance
- Accurately document incidents, root causes, and resolutions within the IT service management (ITSM) platform
- Maintain clear and current technical documentation, including operational procedures, configurations, and standards
- Ensure consistency, compliance, and adherence to internal controls and best practices across IT operations
Projects, Innovation & Continuous Improvement
- Participate in and support IT projects and company-wide initiatives such as platform migrations, software updates, and employee training
- Collaborate with key stakeholders to gather requirements, identify challenges, evaluate solutions, and implement improvements
- Bring an innovative and forward-thinking mindset, responding confidently to change and evolving business needs
- Stay current on emerging technology trends and recommend improvements to tools, processes, and infrastructure
Growth & Collaboration
- Mentor and support members of the IT team, helping develop technical skills and operational maturity
- Work effectively with cross-functional teams and diverse stakeholders to align technology solutions with business goals
- Contribute to a culture of accountability, continuous learning, and service excellence within the IT function
Education, Experience, and Certifications
- 6–8 years of experience in systems administration or infrastructure engineering roles
- Proven ability to understand business and user needs, design effective solutions, and implement them successfully
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities and projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment
- Experience working in agile or adaptive delivery environments
- Strong communication skills with the ability to explain technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences
Technical Experience
- 3+ years supporting a broad range of network and infrastructure technologies, including but not limited to:
- Active Directory and identity management
- Azure Administration
- Virtualization platforms (vCenter, ESXi, or similar)
- Backup and recovery solutions with ransomware protection
- Microsoft 365 (Exchange Online, Azure AD, hybrid deployments, Intune)
- 3+ years of experience with Microsoft Server platforms, Group Policy, endpoint management, access and authentication protocols, including single sign-on (SSO)
- Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot complex issues under pressure using a structured and creative approach
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with Panda Systems Management and ServiceNow (or similar ITSM tools)
- Experience supporting regulated or security-conscious environments
