Title: Junior Systems Aide
Tenure: 12 months with a possibility of extension
Job Description:
Supports departmental operations by assisting professional staff with data entry, audio and visual projects, and administrative support. Performs a combination of clerical, technical, and creative support tasks to help maintain accurate records, produce basic multimedia materials, and support digital communication efforts in accordance with client policies and standards.
Position Summary:
- The Junior Systems Aide provides entry-level support to systems, program, and administrative staff by performing routine data entry, assisting with audio and visual materials, and supporting the department’s administrative functions.
- This entry-level classification is designed for individuals with clerical or technical aptitude who possess foundational computer skills and an interest in information systems, media, or digital communications. The position offers employees a developmental opportunity to gain hands-on experience while supporting a variety of operational projects.
Key Responsibilities and Areas:
Data Entry and Records Support
- Perform accurate data entry and updates in databases, spreadsheets, and tracking
- systems.
- Review information for completeness and consistency and assist with correcting errors.
- Organize and maintain electronic files in accordance with established procedures.
- Assist staff with compiling information for routine reports and projects.
Audio and Visual Projects
- Assist with the preparation, organization, and basic editing of audio and visual materials.
- Support staff with setting up, organizing, and maintaining multimedia files and assets.
- Help update presentations, visuals, or recordings used for internal or external purposes.
- Provide general support for assigned audio and visual projects.
General Support
- Provide clerical, technical, and project support to systems or program staff.
- Follow established policies related to data security, confidentiality, and system use.
- Participate in training and varied assignments to gain exposure to departmental operations.
