Salary Range: $105,000 – $130,000 + bi-annual bonus

Position Overview
Our client is seeking an experienced OT System Administrator to support, maintain, and enhance the technology systems that underpin industrial and mission-critical operations. This role focuses on ensuring the stability, security, and performance of OT environments—including SCADA platforms, PLC networks, HMIs, and other industrial control systems—while aligning with government cybersecurity requirements and operational best practices.
Primary Responsibilities
- Administer and maintain OT systems such as SCADA, PLCs, HMIs, RTUs, and DCS within government-operated environments
- Manage and support OT networks, ensuring alignment with federal cybersecurity frameworks (NIST 800-82, CISA guidance, FISMA, etc.)
- Safeguard the availability, integrity, and security of OT infrastructure
- Apply patches, updates, and backups in accordance with established change management processes
- Monitor OT network performance and troubleshoot, resolve, and document system issues
- Collaborate with IT teams to maintain proper segmentation and secure integration between IT and OT networks
- Maintain accurate hardware/software inventories and up-to-date OT network diagrams
- Support disaster recovery planning and execution for OT systems
- Ensure compliance with regulatory, security, and internal standards related to industrial control systems
- Participate in a 24/7 on-call rotation for critical operational support

Required Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience in systems or network administration, preferably within OT/ICS environments
- Strong understanding of Windows Server, Active Directory, and core networking protocols (TCP/IP, VLANs, firewalls)
- Hands-on experience with Windows and Linux administration in operational settings
- Familiarity with industrial communication protocols (e.g., Siemens, Allen-Bradley, BacNet, Modbus, OPC, DNP3, Ethernet/IP)
- Experience working with SCADA platforms (GE, Schneider, Siemens, Emerson, etc.) and OT asset management tools
- Knowledge of Kepware
- Experience with virtualization technologies (VMware, Hyper-V), cloud environments (AWS), and backup solutions
- Understanding of cybersecurity best practices and federal cybersecurity mandates (NIST, CISA, etc.)
- Experience with endpoint protection, IDS/IPS, and SIEM tools in OT environments
- Understanding of data acquisition frequencies and industrial data flows
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and diagnostic skills
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively across multidisciplinary teams
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Detail-oriented with a proactive approach to system reliability and security
- At least one relevant security certification (Security+, CySA+, CISSP, CCNA/CCNP, GICSP, ISA/IEC 62443 credentials, etc.)
- Must have or be able to obtain a Secret Clearance (U.S. citizenship required)
- Must pass a drug screening and background check
