We are seeking an experienced System Administrator to support and maintain our organization’s IT infrastructure. This role is responsible for ensuring the reliability, security, and performance of systems across multiple locations while providing advanced technical support to end users. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in Windows/Linux environments, cloud platforms, identity management, and security controls.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and administer Active Directory, Entra ID, and identity connectivity.
- Support and maintain virtualization platforms, hosts, and storage systems.
- Manage infrastructure backups, disaster recovery, and data replication.
- Administer Entra Enterprise Applications and SSO integrations.
- Implement and manage Conditional Access policies and MFA.
- Support email security, EDR, MDR/XDR platforms, and cybersecurity tools.
- Maintain Windows Server and Linux environments.
- Design, install, and integrate networking hardware and software.
- Perform system upgrades, patching, and infrastructure maintenance.
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues.
- Support third-party and SaaS applications.
- Manage Group Policies, OUs, user accounts, and permissions.
- Provide IT support for multiple in-state and out-of-state offices.
- Assist with helpdesk and escalated ticket resolution.
- Maintain system security, confidentiality, and compliance.
- Participate in infrastructure planning and cost analysis.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology or a related field (preferred).
- Minimum 5 years of system administration experience.
- Strong knowledge of Windows and Linux environments (3.5+ years preferred).
- Experience with network management and iSCSI storage.
- Hands-on experience with Entra ID (on-prem and cloud).
- Experience with backup infrastructure (Veeam / ObjectFirst).
- Strong understanding of security best practices and email security.
- Excellent organizational and communication skills.
- Strong customer support mindset.
- Ability to work effectively in fast-paced environments.
Preferred Qualifications (Nice to Have)
- Experience with Microsoft Intune for device and platform management.
- Exposure to EDR, MDR/XDR, and cybersecurity tools.
- Experience with Microsoft 365 and cloud integrations.
