Job Summary
We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Network System Administrator to join our dynamic IT team. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, maintaining, and securing our organization's network infrastructure. Your expertise will ensure seamless connectivity across LAN (Local Area Network), WAN (Wide Area Network), and data center environments, supporting critical business operations. You will play a key role in optimizing network performance, enhancing security protocols, and supporting virtualization and cloud platforms to deliver reliable and scalable IT services. Responsibilities
- Manage and support network infrastructure including routers, switches, firewalls, VPNs (Virtual Private Networks), load balancers, and wireless access points to ensure high availability and optimal performance.
- Configure and maintain network security measures such as Cisco network switches and Enterprise firewalls, IDS Systems, LDAP (Lightweight Directory Access Protocol), SSO (Single Sign-On), encryption protocols, and vulnerability assessments.
- Oversee network installation projects involving DNS, DHCP, NFS (Network File System), SAN (Storage Area Network), NAS (Network Attached Storage).
- Monitor network health using tools like SolarWinds to proactively identify issues and implement solutions swiftly.
- Support virtualization environments such as VMware vSphere/ESXi and Citrix to ensure high availability and disaster recovery readiness.
- Automate routine tasks using scripting languages like PowerShell to improve efficiency in system hardening and configuration management.
- Knowledge of cloud services like Azure and operating systems including Windows and macOS.
Preferred Knowledge
- Proven experience in computer networking with a strong understanding of routing protocols such as OSPF, BGP, EIGRP; network protocols including TCP/IP; VLANs; VPNs; IPsec; QoS; DHCP; DNS; SSH; SSL/TLS encryption; and network management tools.
- Hands-on knowledge of Cisco routers/switches, Juniper devices, Meraki solutions, and other networking hardware.
- Strong background in network security practices including firewall configuration (Cisco ASA), SSO integration, LDAP authentication methods, system hardening techniques, vulnerability assessment procedures, and SIEM tools.
- Familiarity with virtualization platforms such as VMware vSphere/ESXi or Hyper-V; experience with SAN/NAS storage solutions; virtualization automation using Ansible or similar tools.
- Experience supporting cloud infrastructure on AWS or Azure with knowledge of virtual networking components like VPCs or virtual private gateways.
- Ability to perform network support tasks including troubleshooting routing issues with OSPF/BGP/EIGRP; implementing high-availability solutions; managing load balancing configurations; setting up remote access via VPNs or remote desktop software.

Education Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent practical experience)
- 3+ years of experience in network/system administration

- CompTIA Network+
- CompTIA Security+
- Cisco CCNA
- Microsoft Certified (Azure Administrator or similar)
