The OMAC System Administrator supports North American Aerospace Defense Command (NORAD) on the Integrated Tactical Warning/Attack Assessment (ITW/AA) and Space Support Contract II (NISSC II).

Shift work is required to support 24×7 operations. It is important to be available to work any shift/designated hours required including nights, weekends, and holidays on a modified Panama schedule.

The Candidate Will
- Configure, optimize, fine-tune, and monitor system software and hardware.
- Identify, Analyze, troubleshoot, and resolve system processing, hardware, software, and networking anomalies and outages using advanced problem-solving skills.
- Collect system logs, related data, and draft detailed narratives of actions and observations to support forensic analysis of outages and other service disruptions.
- Perform system backups, recovery, and server builds.
- Communicate professionally in person, telephonically, and through email with end users, configuration managers, and other key stakeholders.
- Document daily activities and any system anomalies with a high level of detail and accuracy.
- Install system software, patches, and upgrades.
- Serve as a backup to the lead computer systems administrator.
- Develop and support implementation of system documentation and operational procedures.
- Research the selection and installation of new computer equipment including hardware and software.
- Provide guidance, direction, and training to others in the group.
- Order replacement hardware and software including warranty claims.
Basic Requirements
- Certification Requirements: Current DoD IAT Level II or higher (Security + (CE)).
- Clearance Requirements: Active Top Secret with SCI and NC2 eligibility
- Educational Requirements: H.S. Diploma or GED
- 5 or more years of directly related experience.
- 4 or more years of general work history.
- Experience with system administration of Microsoft Windows operating systems (OS) and associated hardware.
- Experience with Local Area Network (LAN) and Wide Area Network (WAN) technologies and hardware.
Desired Requirements
- Cyber, Missile Warning, or Space Operations experience
- VMWare experience
- Linux experience
This position is expected to pay
$80,000-$95,000 annually; depending on experience, education, and any certifications that are directly related to the position.
