We are seeking a skilled and collaborative
Network Engineer to help design, implement, and support our enterprise LAN, WAN, and WLAN infrastructure across campus and data center environments. In this hands‑on role, you’ll partner with internal teams and third‑party vendors to develop robust network solutions, optimize performance, and strengthen security. You’ll also mentor junior administrators, assist with escalated troubleshooting, and contribute to key lifecycle upgrades and architecture improvements.

Primary Responsibilities /Accountabilities/ Essential Functions
- Design, implement, and support enterprise LAN, WAN, and WLAN infrastructure, with an emphasis on campus and data center environments.
- Collaborate with partner departments and third-party vendors to design network solutions and integrate services, software, and hardware.
- Mentor junior network administrators and assist in troubleshooting escalated issues, providing guidance and support.
- Evaluate, recommend, and implement network lifecycle upgrades, security improvements, and performance optimizations.
- Conduct technical presentations and document network designs using tools such as Visio, PowerPoint, and Zoom.
- Participate in regular on-call rotation.
- Other duties as assigned.
Equipment Used and Responsibility
- Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio, Outlook, Teams)
- Cisco network hardware (Catalyst, Nexus), firewalls (Cisco/Palo Alto), load balancers (Citrix/F5)
- Network diagnostic tools (Wireshark or equivalent for packet capture analysis)
- Remote access, monitoring, and configuration tools
- Zoom, whiteboarding tools, and collaboration software for design and communication
Experience/ Education
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Systems, or related technical field from a regionally accredited institution; or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
- 3 years of hands-on experience in network administration or IT systems preferred.
- Proficiency in routing and switching (EIGRP, OSPF, BGP), network protocols (TCP/IP, DNS, HTTP, SMTP), and firewall/VPN technologies preferred.
- Experience with SD-WAN, MPLS, and data center technologies (ACI, VXLAN) a bonus.
- Must pass background investigation.
