Essential Job Functions
- Support our Windows infrastructure to include installation, configuration, patching, and upgrades PowerShell and/or Windows tools to continuously review and streamline these processes.
- Implement and maintain system hardening using security compliance tools such as Evaluate STIG, SCAP, STIG Viewer.
- Troubleshoot and resolve system issues, support root cause analysis, and implement solutions.
- Manage the entire user account lifecycle, including creating, modifying,disabling, and deleting user accounts in Microsoft Active Directory
- Manage security groups, distribution lists, and access permissions for network resources such as file shares, applications, and printers.
- Assist with regular audits of user accounts, group memberships, and access permissions to ensure compliance with company policies and security standards.
- Collaborate with IT security and other teams to implement and maintain identity and access management best practices.
- Maintain PowerShell scripts to automate routine administrative tasks and reporting.
- Create and update technical documentation for Active Directory processes and procedures.
Basic Qualifications And Skills
- Bachelor's degree in information systems, computer science, information security or related field
- A minimum of 4+ years of prior relevant work experience; additional years of experience will be accepted in lieu of a degree. (A master's degree (in subjects described above) and three years general experience of which at least two years must be specialized experience, or No degree and eight years general experience of which six years is specialized experience.
- Requires a current 8140 IAT Level II (Intermediate or Advanced) certificate (CompTIA Security+) or Training (DISA-US1390 DCWF Windows Systems Administrator).
- Strong proficiency in PowerShell for Active Directory administration and automation.
- Experience with Active Directory (Microsoft Entra ID) and hybrid identity management.
- Familiarity with identity and access management (IAM) principles and security best practices.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently.
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy.
- Good communication skills for interacting with both technical and non-technical staff.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experienced working at the Pentagon, Joint Base Andrews (JBA), and Joint Base Anacostia-Bolling (JBAB)
- Knowledge of Air Force, Pentagon, and/or AFNCR.
- Microsoft Certified - Identity and Access Administrator Associate (SC-300), AZ-800, or similar)
- Experienced with Server 2019/2022 operating systems.
- Ability to work effectively with diverse teams (software developers, hardware engineers, network specialists, etc.)
