Robert Half is partnering with a well-known brand in San Diego and we are looking for IT Analyst who operates at the intersection of IT, Security, Compliance, and process improvement. In this role, you’ll document systems, standardize operational workflows, and help strengthen compliance aligned to NIST 800‑171 and CMMC. You’ll turn real‑world infrastructure and security practices into clear diagrams, runbooks, standards, and actionable work plans, enabling engineers to stay focused on execution while you drive structure, consistency, and clarity across the environment. The position is full time, with full benefits and 100% onsite in San Diego.
Responsibilities:
- Document infrastructure, security, and operational workflows; build diagrams and architecture visuals
- Translate compliance requirements (CMMC, NIST 800‑171) into concrete infra/security activities
- Maintain SSP, POA&M, and evidence repositories mapped to actual workflows, configs, and tickets.
- Break down projects into sequenced task plans with clear ownership
- Support updates (Intune, M365, Okta/Entra, monitoring tools) and improve processes.
- Facilitate working sessions to capture tribal knowledge and define standard workflows
What you bring:
- 5+ years in IT operations, infrastructure, systems, or security‑adjacent roles
- Strong documentation, process mapping, and technical writing skills
- Experience with NIST 800‑171 / CMMC or similar frameworks (ISO, SOC 2)
- Solid understanding of IT operations: M365/Entra, Intune, Okta, basic networking concepts
- Ability to collaborate across infra, cyber, PMO, and external partners.
