Job Title: System Administrator

Salary Range: $105-135,000 (negotiable based on experience)

Summary:

The System Administrator will be responsible for supporting, maintaining, and optimizing Nutanix AOS/Prism/AHV infrastructure in a regulated financial services environment.

Responsibilities:

• Administer and maintain Nutanix AOS/Prism/AHV clusters, ensuring availability and performance.

• Monitor system health, perform upgrades/patching, and troubleshoot issues proactively.

• Configure and manage virtual machines and storage containers across AHV/VMware environments.

• Perform log analysis and root cause analysis to prevent recurring incidents.

• Support DR failover testing, replication, and backup/restore workflows.

• Document configurations, SOPs, changes, and audit evidence in compliance with financial regulations.

• Participate in change control processes, maintenance windows, and after-hours on-call rotation.

• Collaborate with security teams to apply baselines, support vulnerability remediation, and maintain platform hardening.

Qualifications:

• 3-6 years of systems administration experience, including at least 2+ years with Nutanix AOS/Prism/AHV.

• Proficiency with virtualization platforms (AHV/VMware), Windows/Linux server OS, and networking fundamentals.

• Experience automating tasks using PowerShell and/or Python.

• Strong troubleshooting and performance tuning skills.

• Experience with DR planning, replication workflows, and backup platforms.

• Ability to operate in regulated environments with formal change control.
