Setting up and configuring Linux servers and workstations
Continuously monitoring system performance, applying updates, and performing backups
Implementing and maintaining security measures to protect systems and data
Managing user accounts, permissions, and access control
Identifying and resolving hardware, software, and network issues
Maintaining accurate and up-to-date documentation of system configurations and procedures
Working with other IT staff to support and enhance the overall IT infrastructure

Requirements

Strong knowledge of Linux operating systems (e.g., Red Hat, CentOS, Ubuntu) and the command-line interface (CLI)
Proficiency in scripting languages like Bash, Python, or Perl for automation and system management
Hands-on experience with Kubernetes
Understanding of networking concepts, protocols (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP), and services
Apply security best practices, including firewall management, intrusion detection, and access control
Familiarity with virtualization technologies like VMware or KVM
Knowledge of storage technologies (RAID, SAN, NAS)
Ability to use tools to monitor system performance and identify potential issues

Ability to communicate technical information to both technical and non-technical audiences
Ability to work effectively in a team environment
Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively, especially when dealing with urgent issues
