Essential Functions

Linux Expertise: Strong knowledge of Linux operating systems (e.g., Red Hat, CentOS, Ubuntu) and the command-line interface (CLI)
Scripting: Proficiency in scripting languages like Bash, Python, or Perl for automation and system management
Networking: Understanding of networking concepts, protocols (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP), and services
Security: Experience with security best practices, including firewall management, intrusion detection, and access control
Virtualization: Familiarity with virtualization technologies like VMware or KVM
Storage: Knowledge of storage technologies (RAID, SAN, NAS)

Troubleshooting: Identifying and resolving hardware, software, and network issues
Documentation: Maintaining accurate and up-to-date documentation of system configurations and procedures
