About the role

We’re hiring a Founding CTO to lead engineering and technical strategy as we take Foundly from MVP to a production platform used by large institutions. This role owns system architecture, reliability, and long term technical direction, including the integration of AI driven systems.

You’ll act as the technical partner to the founder and help turn early traction into a scalable company. The decisions you make here define the foundation of the product and the engineering culture going forward.

What you’ll do

• Lead system design and core architecture decisions

• Build and scale backend and frontend systems

• Design and integrate AI and machine learning components into the product

• Own data pipelines, model integration, and system performance

• Establish engineering standards, tooling, and best practices

• Partner closely with the founder on roadmap and product execution

• Hire, mentor, and grow the early engineering team

What we’re looking for

• Experience building and scaling production systems

• Hands on experience shipping AI or machine learning systems

• Comfortable owning technical decisions end to end

• Strong foundation in modern web architecture, data systems, and cloud infrastructure

• Clear communicator with strong product judgment

• Bachelor’s, Master’s, PhD in Computer Science or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience

Compensation

This is an equity based founding role with ownership aligned to responsibility and long term contribution. Compensation structure will be finalized upon incorporation and early funding milestones.
