Position Summary

The Global Systems Engineer is a senior level role within the Global Systems Team, responsible for supporting and optimizing enterprise infrastructure across worldwide operations. This position plays a critical role in automation, system reliability, and infrastructure scalability.

We are specifically seeking a candidate with strong Linux and Ansible expertise. The ideal candidate will also have working knowledge of Python and PowerShell, with experience in cloud platforms considered a strong advantage. This role requires someone who is technically deep, automation focused, and comfortable operating in a global enterprise environment.

What You Will Do

Serve as a key member of the Global Systems Team, addressing strategic initiatives and supporting systems worldwide
Design, implement, and maintain Linux based systems and automation frameworks using Ansible
Develop and maintain automation scripts and tooling leveraging Ansible, Python, and PowerShell
Install, configure, and maintain complex IT infrastructure including hardware, virtualization platforms, storage systems, and data protection solutions
Manage and optimize cloud based infrastructure across AWS, Azure, and Google Cloud environments
Respond to IT incidents and service requests, ensuring timely resolution and adherence to service level agreements
Develop and maintain technical documentation and ensure standard operating procedures remain accurate and current
Continuously evaluate and improve infrastructure performance, scalability, and security

Required Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology or related field, or equivalent professional experience
5 or more years of practical professional experience in enterprise systems engineering or infrastructure roles
Strong hands on expertise with Linux in enterprise environments
Proven experience designing and implementing automation using Ansible
Working knowledge of Python and PowerShell for scripting and automation
Experience supporting enterprise server environments and data center infrastructure
Strong problem solving skills with the ability to design practical and scalable solutions
Strong communication, prioritization, and organizational skills
Must currently reside in Idaho or Utah. This is a home based role.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience managing cloud infrastructure environments including AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud
Experience with VMware virtualization platforms and Microsoft Active Directory
Experience with enterprise communication systems such as Exchange or Microsoft 365
Experience with storage arrays and enterprise data protection solutions
Relevant industry certifications such as Linux, AWS, Microsoft, VMware, or Cisco
