Developing IoT Cloud based solutions and products that increase yields, safety, and reliability using node.js, Microsoft Azure, Particle Photon, and Azure Sphere.
2018 :
Solarin Technologies, LLC.
Product Engineer
Design, developed, and deployed real-time visualizations of the 185 Megawatts of energy allowing Energy Stewards to see where the power is being used and waisted to heat and cool 100s of buildings using web browsers which received huge amounts of data which is sent to a platform architected with Node.js, and OPC-UA, PLCs through OPC-UA Kepware and historized for analysis visually. Relied on Jira to manage the SDLC using Agile methods. Performed trouble shooting of SCADA systems and tags through out the power plant.
2016 : 2022
University of Texas -- Util & Energy Management
Full-Stack Software Engineer
Prototyped devices that sense environmental conditions e.g. temperature, dust, light, gases, and other conditions and notified others when dangerous. mBed ARM processor using Node.js.Communicated the data from these devices over MQTT. Ruby on Rails application interacting. mBed ARM processor running embedded Node.js. Sensor array communicated over MQTT to Bluemix (IBM Cloud) with a Ruby on Rails application in the cloud to interact with client phones and web browsers.
2015 : 2016
Bluecend
Cofounder CTO
Developed Real-time control and robotic hardware embedded software using a combination of C (language), node.js, MQTT for quick transmission of data, cloud technologies, and mBed ARM processors, on YOCTO, QNX, & Linux. This was connected to cloud based control using Google's Blocky visual programming to serve classrooms filled with students that controlled the robots. Also developed tool for evaluating invariant spatial recognition (computer vision) using openCV and Java, 3d printing, laser cutting, and a variety of Linux tools.
