Responsible for the maintaining, configuring the back-end infrastructure that serves as the foundation upon which all Information Services systems, services and processes that the University relies on.
There are three main areas of responsibilities within my position :
1. Physical Infrastructure
2. Server Infrastructure
3. Enterprise Systems
• Worked with University Applications staff to ensure the server and storage requirements for University Applications are met and maintained.
• Coordinated with Network Operations department to keep server and storage infrastructure aligned with data center network design and infrastrcuture
• Handled and escalated technology requests submitted by end-users, and client support group.
• Dealt with operational aspects of each of three data Data Center facility
• Worked with storage infrastructure, including locally attached and storage area network infrastructure
• Built and maintained server infrastructure, including hardware, hypervisors, operating systems, and various enterprise applications
Configured, Maintained and Managed our University's Citrix VDI infrastructure.

I had minimal exposure to SQL database management, but understand it conceptually and had interacted with SQL related aspects via several enterprise systems.

Implemented legacy and modern imaging technologies such as Microsoft Deployment Toolkit and WAIK (Windows Automated Installation Kit) to develop and deploy base imaging for both faculty/staff and students. Managed group policy objects and supported active directory accounts for faculty, staff and students. Provided virtual desktop training to selected staff while serving as a point of contact to a university wide Virtual Desktop Initiative. Managed and configure university wide software management software (Deep Freeze) as well deployment of software to various labs across the university.
