The goal of The HGL Group is twofold : As we grow our presence in our communities, we want to provide assistance and support to shelters and other community events currently in place for those battling domestic violence. Additionally, we want to create an environment for the non-violent abuse survivors who are sometimes overlooked that is safe, and provides them with both an opportunity to heal from abuse, and rebuild - financially, emotionally, spiritually, and physically. At The HGL Group, our goal is to meet people where they are, and help them restore ALL areas of their lives.

About
I’m a “Tarheel Girl” living in Texas, with a passion for telling my story in hopes of repairing relationships - starting with the one you have with yourself.
Behind my smile are stories of overcoming major obstacles: low-self esteem, multiple types of abuse, sexual assault, divorce, bankruptcy, single motherhood, and a near-fatal domestic attack. I have fought and won the battles against bitterness, discouragement and anger, using those experiences to not only make me stronger, but to also share what I've learned with others. I'm grateful that this passion has led to many doors being open: magazine contributions, a blog, a vlog, interviews, a radio show, a podcast, organizing multiple events that combine the arts with motivational messages, and now three businesses, including one nonprofit. With a passion for helping others through telling my story, and my empathic gift, I have found a way to connect with hurting and uninspired audiences in a way many of them say no one has. I know the language of pain, and I also know the language of love. In this area of my life, I know how to guide people from their rock bottom to more understanding of their lives, having a greater appreciation for it than they thought possible, and ultimately discovering and succeeding in their purpose.
