Bank of America
SVP, CYBERSECURITY TECHNOLOGY – GLOBAL INFORMATION SECURITY (2018 – PRESENT)
I created ground-breaking IAM technology, architecting and developing a highly configurable workflow system with ancillary services in coordination with internal and external stakeholders to fulfill the requirements of a vast and diverse portfolio of applications and technology infrastructure. This work helped establish Chicago’s reputation as the go-to infosec Software Development Center. To manage costs, I also instituted an offshore practice from inception to fully operational in less than 6 months, and within the first year, I grew the Technology group by 40% while transforming the use of Technology resources from operational/maintenance to strategic/tactical work.

VP, APPLICATION DEVELOPMENT MANAGER
I led a team to develop applications for various clients (Time Warner Cable, Unilever, Allergan Natrelle, Six Flags, Slim-Fast, and Dove), encompassing infrastructure design, eCommerce application architecture, database configuration and performance tuning, and membership authentication/role management. The technologies I utilized included .NET, C#, ASP.NET, JQuery, and SQL Server. I hardened websites with AES encryption and decryption keys used in machine configs of load-balanced servers.

Ogilvy Interactive (Ogilvy & Mather)
I spearheaded the development of business-critical applications, modules, marketing image libraries, and search interfaces. This included designing a consumer electronics portal (SCENE) for SIRIUS employees based on an object-oriented tiered application design to provide high scalability and maintainability with authentication and incentive-to-consumers modules. Collaboratively, we defined system architecture, outlined specifications, identified key technical risks, created milestones and timelines, and communicated plans and progress to the end client while producing the SIRIUS Marketing Image Library.

About
Early in my career, I worked as an Assistant Manager at Pioneer Electronics in Tokyo, Japan. From there, I moved back to the US to develop applications for Vibreca Inc., SiriusXM, and Ogilvy Interactive clients (Time Warner Cable, Unilever, Six Flags, and other household names), requiring a deep understanding of web application development and technology stack (Microsoft .NET, JavaScript, and Oracle/SQL Server). In 2010, I became the VP, Application Development Manager at Bank of America and have since assumed additional leadership responsibilities for global teams focused on Identity and Access Management (IAM), Zero Trust Security, and other cybersecurity technology solutions.
As the SVP, Cybersecurity Technology – Global Information Security, I lead an intrapreneurial effort to build and manage an Identity and Governance Administration Platform, which has become Information Security’s flagship platform at Bank of America. To facilitate this effort, I gained buy-in from C-suite stakeholders, built a highly productive team, and relentlessly drove the vision to create a real, sustainable impact on the organization.
I am passionate about building unique solutions to capture operational efficiencies and cost savings. My colleagues see me as a collaborative, culturally astute change agent who is invigorated by thinking critically, managing complex and ambiguous problems effectively, and working cross-functionally to achieve shared goals, even against tight deadlines and limited resources. My effectiveness as a manager and openness to feedback is foundational in building high-performance teams. I have consistently earned above-average scores in employee engagement surveys for my calm, reassuring, and results-oriented approach to leadership, resulting in high employee morale and retention.
