About
As a highly accomplished and innovative Information Technology Professional with over 20 years of experience in the telecom, financial, and industrial industries, I have a proven track record of directing and managing all aspects of information systems. My expertise includes managing projects within Information Systems, Telecommunications, and Customer Service, as well as bridging the gap between technical and non-technical conversations and facilitating communication between those with no Information Technology knowledge and developers, programmers, and technical support.
I have extensive experience with regulatory compliance in the information technology and business continuity sectors, utilizing NIST, CMMC, PCI DSS, and HIPAA frameworks. I also have a proven ability to consult on Information Technology expenditures and negotiate with Information Technology industry vendors, while interfacing with key business units including Marketing, Operations, and Finance.
As a staff officer with the United States Coast Guard Auxiliary, I enhanced their national online training program supporting the education of over 30,000 USCGA members. In addition, I co-developed a boating safety program with the Army Corp of Engineers which markedly reduced accident-related deaths at the Bonnet Carre Spillway.
I am an excellent communicator with an emphasis on building strong teams and client relationships, and am capable of making professional and entertaining presentations. I am a dedicated learner who rapidly adapts to emerging technologies, and I speak, present, and offer training on cybersecurity, identity theft, agile methodology, and business continuity relating to disaster recovery.
I earned the CISSP certification in 2010 and am a member of the British Computer Society and IEEE. Outside of work, I am a nationally recognized award-winning amateur photographer, occasional tubist, and cycling enthusiast who rides countless miles a year for multiple local and national charities.
