About

Bhume Bhumiratana is a researcher, educator and practitioner in cybersecurity.  He receives his Ph.D. from University of California, Davis in 2009, with specialisation in Application Security Design, Privacy Design and Implementation, and Modern Cryptography.  He is a former lecturer and researcher at Department of Computer Engineering at King Mongkut’s University of Technology, Thonburi from 2009-2014.  His industry consulting experience include having served as a Principle Consultant at a leading IT company in Thailand where he created a new Business Unit focusing on Security Consulting Solutions.  He built and managed team of cybersecurity researcher, consultant and implementor specialised in products in the area of Advance Authentication Technology, Machine Learning and Big-Data for Cybersecurity.  In addition, he also serve as technology consultant for the Security and Exchange Commissioner Office, Thailand (SEC) providing advice and consulting in the area of technology such as cybersecurity, Blockchain, FinTech, RegTech, and other use of technology. His other roles include Thai FinTech Association advisor, and advisor for several leading businesses providing strategic advice/guidance in the area of Cybersecurity and Blockchain. He also serve as Committee member of the National Cybersecurity Preparedness Committee.
