The packaging business was new to me when I joined Englander Dzignpak’s team five years ago, so I put a lot of energy into developing a broad and thorough understanding of the business as a whole and of the needs of each department so that I could deliver the most effective technical solutions.
As I learned about the business through meetings with experts and decision makers across functions, I shared expertise on methods to prevent cyber-attacks and keep data secure. I proactively spearheaded a culture of security awareness and introduced tools that helped mitigate risks. The infrastructure was in need of modernization, so I initiated a two-year project that greatly improved reliability and reduced downtime, while minimizing capital expenditure.
I managed the entire scope of two year-long project including the design, build, integration, testing, implementation, and training phases. This workflow solution integrated and automated processes, reduced errors, and ultimately boosted the companies marketability; resulting in company’s recent acquisition by Packaging Corporation of America.

Director Of Information Technology
In this role I worked closely with the CFO to understand business needs and provide technological solutions that supported organization-wide goals. I advised executives and the senior management team of potential impacts of business decisions on IT systems. The initiatives that I pitched utilized cost-effective technologies to increase efficiency, improve accuracy and quality, and reduce waste. I reduced hardware capital expenditure up to 70% by sourcing high-quality refurbished equipment.
I also designed, implemented, maintained, and delivered multiple continuous improvements to the IT infrastructure including networking, security, servers, websites, software, workstation, telephony, user training, and support. Productive vendor relationships were vitally important to my success int his role. I negotiated service provider contracts and owned IT-related purchasing.

About
I would say that the ability to marry the two worlds, of business operations and technology, is one of my greatest strengths. It’s so important to have a thorough big-picture understanding of an organization’s goals and processes in order to analyze its needs and determine strategies that will maximize available technologies. I take pride in my ability not only to match appropriate solutions to business requirements, but also to describe them in such a way that each team member and stakeholder is able to fully utilize new technologies with comfort and enthusiasm. Equipped with these talents along with a relentless drive for growth, I have a history of sourcing, pitching, and implementing a variety of comprehensive solutions that have enhanced security, increased accuracy and quality, reduced costs, and improved efficiency.
If your organization could benefit from a motivated technology and business leader such as myself, I would be glad to hear from you. Send me a private message.
