Senior Information Security Engineer
Responsible for the streamlined operation of the IS Tech Department in alignment with the business objectives of the organization. The Technology Services Manager plans, coordinates, directs, and designs IT-related activities of the IS Tech Department, as well as provide administrative direction and support for daily operational activities of the IS Tech department. The Technology Services Manager works closely with the VP of Information Systems to identify, recommend, develop, implement, and support cost-effective technology solutions for all aspects of the organization, as well as provide direction and support for IT solutions that enhance mission-critical business operations. The Technology Services Manager also defines and implements IT policies, procedures, and best practices.
Accomplishments :
Implemented a Help Desk ticketing system and IT Dashboard process to track the overall success of the IT Department.
Developed and wrote policies and procedures on how the IS Tech department is run.
Saved the department over $50K annually by removing redundant or ineffective processes and support contracts.
Fostered and developed a culture of Proactive IT Operations to move the department away from a reactive mode.
Redesigned and fully documented the backup policies and procedures.
With the help of my team, we instituted documentation for all systems and installation instructions for our application where there previously were none.
Created a documented, repeatable process for adding/removing/changing users.
Simplified areas where lack of oversight and vendor over-complication had created very tangled interdependencies.
Implemented an IT Security Program including quarterly PEN testing, staff phishing, and in-person IT Security Awareness Training.

Also responsible for coordinating with vendors and/or contractors hired to do facility work at all sites. Directs, coordinates and operates in accordance with the established policies and procedures of the organization and in compliance with federal, state and local laws, rules and regulations. Ensures proper documentation of the same.

Managed the IT and Facilities Budget and was able to bring down the budget two years in a row.
Instituted standard IT Practices for the non-profit which increased efficiency, lowered costs, and greatly improved IT Security.

Due to creation of standardized policies and procedures the organization was able to get ahead of regulators and gain high marks when IT Audits were performed.
