Technical Support Engineer
I lead a team of 5 individuals who provide support for hardware, software and data for the Newton Campus of Georgia Perimeter College. This includes end-user support for issued systems, classroom computer systems, A/V and media systems, network-based printing and permissions, network connectivity and troubleshooting, acquisition and integration of new systems into the environment, software packaging, medium scale software deployment, silent installs of maintenance software, software updates and upgrades, and systems architecture/design. I am also our BMC Footprints Asset Core administrator. I am responsible for the integration, maintenance, and the roll-out of software and Asset Core agents to over 4,000 machines across all 5 of our campuses in the metro Atlanta area.
I have assisted and lead on several major deployments within my current position, ranging from software upgrades (Office 2007 to Office 2010 migration, and currently rolling out Office 2013) on over 1000 machines to infrastructure implementation of over 500 machines in less than a week with a minimal crew.
