About
What is Information Systems Security?
Information Systems Security is the protection of data through the use of layered security. This is the concept of using multiple security countermeasures implemented over seven logical segments of a networking environment (User, Workstation, LAN, WAN, LAN-WAN, Remote, and Systems Application) allowing them to overlap so that no single point of weakness exists.
Every networking environment has distinct internal and external requirements, needs, and business standards that must be achieved. This unique level of protection can be achieved through intricate planning, testing, and maintenance by means of risk assessments, risk mitigation, business continuity, disaster recovery, and incident response development.
Current Objective:
An entry level information technology security position utilizing knowledge of layered security solutions, information technology laws, compliance auditing, risk management, information systems forensics, information security policies and standards, network security designs, and/or information security awareness and training relevant to Windows and/or Linux networking environments.
