Experience:
Serve as chief cybersecurity communications strategist for MITRE's National Cybersecurity Federally Funded Research and Development Center (FFRDC). This FFRDC supports the NIST National Cybersecurity Center of Excellence (NCCoE). I lead an amazing group of editors, publications specialists, and communications professionals who are all committed to furthering the adoption of cybersecurity standards and best-practices across industry and key infrastructure sectors.
In addition to center-wide internal and external change management and communications, I also support outreach and engagement efforts for the following industry and technology areas : financial services, migration to post-quantum cryptography, water/wastewater systems sector, identity, and space. I also serve as MITRE's public affairs liaison to NIST.

I'm also responsible for academic engagement at the NCCoE, working with colleges and universities across the country to give undergraduate and graduate students opportunities to apply their cybersecurity knowledge alongside leading MITRE and NIST experts.
2020 : 2022
MITRE
Senior Communication and Outreach Strategist
I worked with public and private stakeholders across the globe to lead national cybersecurity and privacy awareness efforts, such as Cybersecurity Awareness Month, Data Privacy Day, and CyberSecure My Business. In addition to leading NCSA’s educational portfolio and strategic partnerships, I also oversaw NCSA’s digital communications efforts and was a frequent speaker at events of all sizes.
2018 : 2020
National Cyber Security Alliance
Director of Education & Strategic Initiatives
I worked for the University of Delaware Office of Economic Innovation and Partnerships. I led their educational efforts to start and scale technology-based businesses throughout the state. While there, I managed four specialty education programs : SBIResource™, DatAssured™ , Spin In® and Digital Compass™.
During my 3.5 years there, I built a nationally-recognized, state-wide small business cybersecurity program, helped businesses access over $4.8 million in capital through SBIR, VC, or Angel funding mechanisms, and helped the organization secure over $750,000 in grant funding and private sponsorship.
