Experience:
Since 2018, I have served as Cybersecurity Services Manager and Commander, Cyber Joint Task Force for the Arizona National Guard. I have been charged with building an incident response program for cities, counties, and school districts across Arizona and ensuring state entities are aware of
cybersecurity protocols and complete due diligence for critical incidents.
Additionally, I develop and deliver cyber hunting and malware analysis training for technical stakeholders from engineers and architects to CIO and CISOs. I build processes, procedures, best practice guidelines, and RACI matrixes for Cyber Operations. I also developed content for SIEM to identify compromise and integrity failure.
Select accomplishments from my tenure at the Arizona National Guard :
● Recognized by U.S. Army leadership for management potential and selected to complete 9-month Cyber Basic Officer Leadership training program at U.S.
Army Cyber School.
● Served as Commander, Cyber Joint Task Force with responsibility for advising CISOs and executive management teams of cities, counties, and school districts across Arizona on vulnerabilities and remediation recommendations.
● Conducted risk assessment and implemented mitigation plans that saved $4.5M in potential losses.
● Lead Blue Team exercises to test network defense readiness and incident response processes.

Cybersecurity Services Manager/Commander, Cyber Joint Task Force
At General Dynamics, I manage a team of 6 security engineers within the
Integrated Product Team (IPT) that focuses on space-based mission assets,
nuclear triad assets, signal intel platforms, and SAP/SCI programs. I
deliver IA security training for all system users on risk mitigation
strategies. I am also responsible for delivering accurate and compliant
security documentation, security plans, contingency plans, and security test
procedures.
Key accomplishments from my tenure in this role :
● Led several teams to complete projects including systems security
engineering, assembly, integration, and test activities for security-
critical components.
● Routinely reduce overall project costs of large scale multimillion dollar
contracts while maintaining quality output and meeting final objectives.

As an Adjunct Professor, I create content and teach network security and
engineering, security architecture, and information security compliance for
classes comprised of 20+ adult learning students. I maintain accurate
documentation, complete academic administrative activities, and provide
students with regular feedback on performance.
Notable results include :
● Achieved 90% student pass rate through building web-based interactive
lessons, fostered positive and engaging classroom environment, and
encouraged peer-to-peer study groups.

During the summer/fall of 2016, I completed a 3-month contract engagement to
review and monitor security events and incidents from SIEM, Firewall (FW),
Intrusion Detection Systems (IDS), Intrusion Prevention Systems (IPS),
Antivirus (AV) Network Access Control (NAC), and other data sources. I acted
as Security Incident Response Team Lead and escalated when needed.
Key accomplishment from this assignment :
• Mitigated 98% of attacks identified by intrusion systems through tuning of
rulesets and minimizing the overall false positive events, while still
maintaining an accurate sight picture of actual threats.

As a Cybersecurity Analyst, I assisted with establishing, documenting, and
monitoring the commands cybersecurity program and ensured DoD Security
policies were adhered to during implementation. I served as Subject Matter
Expert (SME) on DoD Information Assurance Certification and Accreditation
Process (DIACAP) and Risk Management Framework (RMF). Additionally, I
conducted analysis on a variety of topics such as plan of action and
milestones (POA&M), certification evidence, system level-risk, and security
control selection.

● Drafted NC3 risk assessment report that outlined current risk levels for
all nuclear assets across U.S.
● Directly contributed to creation and maintenance of USSTRATCOM Authorizing
