Fernando devotes his practice to complex litigation with an emphasis on cyber security, data privacy, international law, and business disputes. He investigates and responds to data privacy/security incidents, manages and mobilizes interdisciplinary teams of professionals and implements response strategies to mitigate damages, determine root cause and impact, and address regulatory investigations and inquiries. He develops strategies for managing business and legal issues relating to electronic data and confidential business information. He was involved in NJ’s first case addressing its new eDiscovery rules and lectured at the Judicial College on the topic. He's addressed the Brazilian Escola Paulista da Magistratura and provided the São Paulo state court judiciary with an executive summary on President Obama’s February 12, 2013 Executive Order on Improving Critical Infrastructure Cybersecurity.
