From 2015 to 2018, he served as the enterprise infrastructure section chief for the Pennsylvania department of environmental protection, Frisel held direct management of infrastructure systems, IT procurement, vendors’ management, and the leadership of a staff of IT professionals who administer daily IT operations (server, storage, network, telecommunications and cybersecurity).
From 2010 to 2015, Frisel worked for the Pennsylvania department of Labor and Industry as a systems architect where he provided leadership and vision for statewide architectural design for enterprise infrastructure and consultation services for internal and external stakeholders. Frisel Benavides innovated IT management by virtualizing infrastructure systems.
From 2008 to 2010, he worked for the Pennsylvania Department of Human Service as an enterprise network security architect, he managed and architected enterprise network, network security, and project management to support statewide programs and services.
From 2007 to 2008 worked as an enterprise standards and compliance architect for the Pennsylvania department of Labor and Industry, he held direct responsibility for the architecture and research of new enterprise applications, technology standards, and configuration compliance.
