As a Senior Network Engineer, I have to oversee, configure, and maintain network topology, including network security, integrity, build, and design. It is my responsibility to set up and maintain network devices, such as Cisco Catalyst switches, Cisco Nexus routers, Cisco ISR routers, Cisco DNA Infrastructure, Cisco ISE, Cisco Prime Infrastructure, Cisco ASA firewalls 5500 series, Cisco Firepower 1000, 2100, 3100, 4100 series, and Firepower Management Center. I am tasked to streamline ongoing Cisco Firewall management, including ACL, ACP, IPS, IDS, site-to-site VPN setup, advanced troubleshooting, trace/PCAP, and packet analyzing.
Below are my notable accomplishments :
• Processed routing implementation across fiber eLAN/WAN for various sites and services.
• Coordinated new firepower design, setup, and implementations within single and HA configurations.
• Utilized several network management tools, such as Solarwinds, MRTG, Intermapper, Splunk, Thousandeyes, Cisco DNA Center, and Cisco Stealthwatch.
• Spearheaded new site affiliation design and implementation of network infrastructure, including routing, switching, and establishing firewall security layers.
• Offered Wireless LAN Controller support, deployment, maintenance and management while managing Cisco Any-connect Client VPN and Cisco Site 2 Site IPSEC, VTI, and BGP routed VPNs.

While serving at Cottage Hospital, I administered and managed a cross-functional IT technical team to resolve emerging issues. I allocated department resources and managed routine operational activities. I had to oversee and maintain capital, minor, and operating budgets while managing department payroll and scheduling. I performed comprehensive annual performance evaluations and developed new policies and procedures for the department. It is my duty to lead vulnerability testing, internal/external penetration testing, risk assessments, and analysis review. Moreover, I have to execute routine responsibilities, such as managing service contracts/software licensing, processing department purchase orders, and configuring network topology. I was tasked to monitor enterprise wired/wireless and public networks as well as firewall administration and internal/external security.
The following are my renowned contributions :
• Initiated several server upgrades from 2003 to 2008 servers and 2008 to 2016 servers.
• Delivered support in executing Radiology on Echo PACS systems, including remote locations.
• Migrated servers, such as File/Exchange servers, Domain controllers, and DHCP/DNS servers.
• Functioned as administrator for Windows Server 2016/2008, Exchange Server 2016, and Windows 7/8/10.
• Contributed to developing strategic plan focusing on disaster recovery and business continuity/intelligence strategy.
• Configured and maintained Cisco Catalyst switches, including Cisco ASA firewall, Cisco VPN client access, Virtual Infrastructure, VMware ESX, and vSphere Center management.
• Acted as Primary lead on new MOB construction design, managed all network/system equipment, wired/wireless surveys, data, voice, fiber, and connectivity pathways for new construction.
