IT Governance and Cybersecurity Executive
Jim Golden is an independent IT Governance and Cybersecurity Executive Consultant and a retired associate partner from IBM. IBM Clients included Veterans Administration, Freddie Mac, Intelligence Community, Department of Defense, and US AID. He is also a retired senior executive from USPS where he held various leadership positions in areas such as: IT Governance; Corporate Information Security; $900 million technology refresh PMO; and Y2K Czar. He is also a retired Naval Reserve Cryptologic Officer CAPTAIN (O6) where he held key senior positions (ACOS, NRSGC; Commander, Cryptologic Area South: Commanding Officer, NSA and NOIC units).
He has served or is serving on several committees and boards, including: the. Government Advisory Board for Cyber Security (ISC2); CGEIT Committee (ISACA); Federal Information Assurance Conference Advisory Board (FBC); North America Advisory Board (ISC2), ISACA Governance Committee, OPM/ NSC/ OMB Cybersecurity Task Force, Future of IT Governance Task Force (ISACA), COBIT 2019 Expert Reviewer (ISACA)., and Supervisory Committee (PenFedFCU).
Mr. Golden has been recognized by his peers with numerous recognitions including the USPS IT Lifetime Achievement Award, Federal 100 Award and the ISACA Lee V. Conyers Award in recognition of contributions to the association and the IT Audit, Security and Governance Profession; he is a recognized international speaker and executive consultant on Information Security and IT Governance.
