Field Implementation Services (FIS) provides services for the planning, management and the deployment of products and services within VA environments. FIS services are provided both enterprise-wide and within specialized processing centers and environments across VA Office of Information and Technology (OI&T), VISNs, and sites. These services include project deployment coordination and facilitation, ensuring adequate training plans are developed, the monitoring of rollout activities and solutions for escalating implementation issues. As the conduit and forward facing entity to Field IT staff FIS coordinates Field workflow and measures Field capacity while providing coordination between the Business Sponsor and Field organizations and staff. FIS also serves as technical resource to the Project Manager and as liaison for Project Sponsors and Enterprise Systems Engineering (ESE) Services to Field IT Services.

Lead Field Implemenatation Manager
Technology Management provides Field Operations guidance and technical leadership on Asset Management, Change Management and Lifecycle Management activities. TM provides policy and guidance for Category Stock Number (CSN) classification, centralized equipment purchases and inventory management. Technology Management provides support for the National Change Control Board (NCCB), and assures that field activities are aligned with the national change management processes. TM is also responsible for the writing and vetting of operation and maintenance (O&M) and operational acceptance plans (OAP) for Field Operations. All planning documents are vetted by TM prior to the movement of a project or system to the field for sustainment. Lifecycle managers are heavily involved in centralized procurements of commodity items in support of sites and service lines. TM works closely with the subject matter experts (SMEs) to create actionable procurements from Technical Resource Model (TRM) specifications and Field Requirements. Technology Management also provides technical leadership for decentralized activities and initiatives with no clear system owners that require coordination across the enterprise.
