Responsible for optimizing billing outcomes for clients as defined by Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) which include claim creations, rejection rate, patient and insurance payment rate, aging, posting, payment mismatch management, and appeals. Regular meetings are held with clients to review KPIs and monitor feedback. Overall purpose is to define root causes and determine proper resolution.
• Oversee a team of up to 150 RCM professionals
o 75 physician practices, billing managers, and billing/AR team
• Review Key Performance Indicators (KPI) of billing teams, meeting with clients on a regular basis, reviewing team members for performance in the domains of operational and billing excellence as well as client relationship measures
• KPI Accomplishments Include :
o Keeping monthly rejections rate for all primary claims below 3% for all clients
o Monitoring all insurance aging over 90 days to maintain a percentage below 19% and immediately address issues resulting in increasing percentages
o Increase YTD cash collections from both insurance and patient collections for all practices
• Perform System training for new and existing clients as often as necessary
o Includes all front desk and billing operations to ensure smooth transitions from patient registration through billing process. This helps to achieve lower rejection rates and increase first pass payment rates/reduce denial rates.
• Maintaining strong client relationships, monitor client feedback and ensure profitable delivery of service based upon the performance of Billing Specialists on the team.
o Monthly meetings are scheduled with clients to discuss all KPI’s as well as any billing issues/concerns
• Provide weekly productivity/status reports to staff to focus on accounts receivable, collections, appeals and denials, as well as payment posting
