Experience:
Responsible for the development, management and execution of major portions of the USSOUTHCOM’s Security plan and implementation of policies, procedures and instructions. Responsible for reviewing, analyzing, evaluating and maintaining the integrity and protection of highly sensitive information and programs under the security cognizance of USSOUTHCOM.
· Participate in the planning and performance of security staff assistance visits, surveys and inspections in accordance with Executive Orders, Presidential Directives, DoD, DIA, Service and National Agency policies and applicable laws.
· Assist with problems or questions involving implementation of security guidelines. Assist in conducting assessments and internal/self-inspections to
ensure the security of the Agency and DoD. Assist in conducting analytical and benchmark studies to evaluate the effectiveness of current security programs, feasibility of future programs and development of planning efforts.
· Assist in developing and maintaining standing operating procedures for all functional tasks within the incumbent's area of responsibility. Assist in the coordination and oversight of DoD policies and procedures regarding the confidentiality, integrity, and security of its information, including classified information, controlled unclassified information (CUI), sensitive information and privacy act information. Establish a process to review current SOPs and revise or rescind as necessary.
· Advise the USSOUTHCOM Original Classification Authorities. Provide administrative security support during the preparation of Security Classification Guides.
· Maintain databases/spreadsheets or like devices to track and prepare reports concerning classification and declassification decisions in support of the Annual Agency Report (SF 311).
· Develop, organize, implement, and maintain the USSOUTHCOM Security Managers' Program.
