Experience: * Changed roles towards the end of 2018. Primary role is completely security oriented, which includes monitoring and maintaining customer firewalls though Cisco CDO, Cisco FirePOWER, and using CLI access to review firewall configurations and reviewing them for Security related issues. Also, as part of the Security focus role, this includes security within Wi-Fi networks. Configuring 802.1x authentication for Private wireless, and segmentation of Wi-Fi networks to allow Guest access and secure private access that are separate and secure from one another.

* Other security processes include reviewing common threats that might affect a client network, and provide a plan, design, and implementation to secure the threats. This may also include using Cisco FirePOWER to provide proper policy changes, or new policies to further secure the network

* Daily log review on the Cisco FirePOWER Dashboard to review any attacks and apply resolutions as necessary. Implement updates to the Cisco FirePOWER Manager software components, as well as update the Cisco Firewall Sensors to resolve or add new features to further enhance security

A very strong starting point in my career with computers. JewelWay paved a way for me to gain lots of experince troubleshooting within a Corporate Network that included more than 200 workstations and users. I learned how to properly maintain network cabling in my years with this company. I also provided help desk support for each user through a remote application that allowed us to track our work thought a ticketing system, and update machines remotely saving us hours of time. During these times, I began to learn the fundementals of networking, and how TCP/IP works and how to provide efficient troubleshooting of this protocol.

I first developed my interest in IT back in the 90's when PC's were just starting to make their presence in homes and businesses. After I graduated High School, I spent a few years in a general college, but realized I still had a passion for IT, and continued my education through a technical college. After graduating with an almost perfect GPA, I ended up gaining experience through a few different companies who were willing to give me an opportunity.

I started out as a PC Technician in the beginning of my career, but later positioned myself as a Network Engineer by learning and obtaining the skills required. To this day I am still a very strong Network Engineer, but have taken on many different roles in my career, showing my versatility as an employee. The rest is history.
