Directs RMF functions across JBSA Lackland enclave. Serves as JBSA Lackland Information Security Manager (ISSM). Champions cybersecurity policies and procedures to protect the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of DoD information systems. Enclave RMF packages are prepared and submitted prior to expiration and within timeline established in the Space and AF. Advises on IT Security policies and procedures to ensure protection of information into and out of the installation using LAN, WAN, and other communication modes. Evaluates unusual circumstances to recognize, define, and report potential vulnerabilities. Selects and oversees the installation of physical and technical security barriers to prevent unauthorized access to information systems. Performs cybersecurity control reviews and assesses cybersecurity posture of organizations via MICT and/ or cybersecurity walk-throughs 90% of the time. Addresses and reports significant security events to the chain-of-command for potential incident declaration. Establishes, develops, and maintains effective working relationships with DoD, DISA, MAJCOM, and AFSPC and mission partners. Meets with customers, explains cybersecurity policies and procedures and resolves problems as the arise. Determines appropriate recommendations for unresolved or controversial problems and performs follow-up. Participates in meetings, telecoms, briefings and VTCs on cybersecurity and other issues 90% of the time.

Provide COMSEC training to military Air Crews deploying, on training missions, and contingency missions. Making sure the Air Crews AF FORM 4168’s are current. Issuing comm. Kits to crews and making sure crews follow procedures. Load, repair, and maintain various types of Combat Crew Communications COMSEC/Crypto equipment such as Data Management Device (DMD), Simple Key Loader (SKL)/AN-PYQ-10, Data Transfer Device (DTD)/ AN/CYZ-10, KYK-13, and KOI-18. Experienced in using turn and digital dial safes; and responsible for inventorying/ safeguarding of Secret material from USSTRATCOM, JCS, JCMO and SECAN daily. Able to create forms using User COMSEC Manager 2 (UCM2) and JET Form Flow. 445th OSS Security Manager oversees members of the 445th OSS's members security clearances are valid, leads inspections of physical secure facilities, and ensures the OSS is in compliance with all security procedures, initiates security violation reports and investigations.
