As Chief Information Security Officer (CISO) at JKBX, I am driving efforts to establish a high-trust architecture and program that will secure and protect the intellectual property and other sensitive information at the core of the company's revolutionary music rights platform.
I lead a dynamic team dedicated to safeguard this transformative initiative against cyber threats and other risks, empowering individuals to actively participate in the potential of their favorite music.
During my first year at JKBX, my team and I achieved significant milestones :
- Successfully implemented company-wide Workforce Identity and Endpoint Security measures, ensuring a comprehensive approach to safeguarding our organization.
- Spearheaded the adoption of Secure Development Lifecycle as a core pillar of our product security, embedding it into the fabric of our development processes to enhance security posture.
- Pioneered proactive readiness efforts through impactful Phishing Campaigns, Cyber Training initiatives, and Tabletop exercises, bolstering our collective resilience against potential threats.
- Assumed additional responsibilities of the CIO role, offering critical support to our rapidly growing start-up environment.

I led the efforts to defend one of the largest networks in the world.
My team was was responsible for identifying, detecting, and responding to cyber threats, vulnerabilities, and incidents that pose a risk to the largest ISP in the country with over 30m+ customers.
I drove critical outcomes for the business :
- Reduced recurrent incident rate by 20% by leveraging a “whole of cyber” play including focus on patching, cyber hygiene, endpoint security and identity management.
- Drove mitigation time for major incidents and vulnerabilities down by 50% by implementing advanced detection and automation plays.
- Championed efforts to discover and mitigate a wide variety of threats (e.g., State Sponsored Threat Actors, Insider Threat) by investing in next-generation security tooling.

Vice President, Cyber Security Operations
I drove efforts for Comcast's Home Security and Automation product (Xfinity Home) around Business Optimization and process enhancement to transform the customer experience and foster revenue growth.
In addition, I oversaw the efforts for the Business Operations team around Cloud (AWS) migration, for both the Comcast subscriber base as well as syndication partners.
Focus areas included Customer data and business rules, Operational tools, Alarm Operations and Analytics. Work with Syndication partners to build and deploy operational process in support of the PaaS solution.
Led strategic initiative to reduce customer churn for the Xfinity Home. Drive cross-functional team initiatives across multiple channels such as Retention COEs, Retail etc. Team's efforts resulted in driving Churn down by 30 basis points year-to-date.

Operations leader within Comcast's Technology & Product Organization. My teams are responsible for supporting Comcast's industry leading products such as the X1 Platform, Xfinity TV app, Xfinity Home among others. Core functions include Site Reliability Engineering, Release Management, Incident and Problem Management, Automation and Instrumentation.

Executive Director, Engineering Operations
Lead multiple key functions in support of next-generation products for Comcast as well as our syndicated Partners. My team makes the Future of Awesome a reality!
1. Incident Managers/SREs and a 24X7 NOC which supports multiple video products and over 8 million customers : Next generation Set Top Box and Cloud-based services model including Cloud TV, Stream TV and Streaming linear video for University services offerings. My team also supports Comcast's mobile and web apps such as Xfinity TV, TV Go, XH App etc.
2. Event Management Function that designs, implements and operates over 150k monitors for several data centers (based on VMware, OpenStack and AWS) and nearly 40k Virtual Machines.
3. Development teams responsible for building automation and dashboarding tools allowing teams to correlate events across our diverse infrastructure and services platform. Additionally, implement automated solutions to allow us to gain enterprise scale.
4. Configuration and Change Management functions responsible for deploying nearly 300 changes a week in multiple environments while minimizing customer impact.
5. Problem Management function that drives customer-reported bugs to resolution in conjunction with DevOps, Care and other Operations teams. Team also manages interactions with market stakeholders to assure that key support teams understand impact and ETA for resolution.
6. Partner Support in working with our Syndication Partners (Cox and Shaw) to support their customers on the X1 Platform and TV Everywhere products respectively.

My accomplishments include building a cyber security program from scratch for one of the hottest new fintechs (www.jkbx.com), overhauling cyber defense for the world's largest network (Comcast) and standing-up engineering operations for next-gen Xfinity products that scaled to 15+ million customers.
