• Primarily worked as an Information Systems Security Manager while serving 20 years of Honorable Service in the United States Navy. I have been responsible for the following :
• Managed 12 servers, 350 PC’s and 45 printers. Coordinated 7,500 security updates/patches resulting in minimal downtime to the end user. Additionally, I created over 900 Network/Microsoft Exchange accounts.
• Implemented a Computer Security management program that resulted in full compliance with all DOD computer security requirements. Conducted user security training for more than 750 shipboard personnel to meet command and DOD security guidelines.
• I was the Electronic Key Management System (EKMS) Custodian for two separate commands, to include the Pentagon and managed 1,200 cryptographic line items without any security incidents.
• Coordinated 55 Joint Forces Level Exercises for Commanders, Captains and Admirals. The exercises required the set up and management of 120 Video Teleconferences between the Commander of Naval Operations and Admirals at the Pentagon.
• Working as the Communication Manager, I facilitated the dissemination of 12,000 naval messages, all off-ship voice/data communications, and 800 HF/UHF/Satellite Communication Circuits.
• Responded to 5,000 Helpdesk trouble calls ranging from account management, hardware configuration and installation, as well as network connectivity.
• Volunteered 200 hours as a Training Facilitator to provide leadership training and Information Technology Training, to 400 personnel. This resulted in a 40% increase in promotion.
