Experience:
This role is a Contractor position providing service to the US Department of Veterans Affairs Office of Information Technology Product Engineering Services Digital Transformation Center, and requires a Public Trust Security Clearance.
I provided ongoing, regular direction and management of a wide variety of technical security architecture, requirement, and compliance teams, with a focus on guiding Cybersecurity Project Managers through Authority to Operate process. This included reporting roadblocks, documentary concerns, interruptions, and potential timeline delays to Program Director and Federal Lead IT PMs.
In the ever-changing environment of VA's Digital Transformation Center, I often led efforts to improve work processes, including developing a vast array of SOPs while collaborating with leads in a variety of teams to acquire and validate inputs to those procedures. A large part of this role required developing and improving Salesforce expertise as related to functional project and program management, as well as developing SOPs related to managing a variety of records and objects within Salesforce and other relational databases utilized as systems of record.
I collaborated with Federal teams and partners including OIT DevSecOps Product Line Managers, National Privacy Officers, IS Security Officers and Security Engineers, Cybersecurity Technical Managers, technical architects, and other Federal agency teams.
I also provided direction and documentation guidance to Cloud Service Providers seeking Authority to Operate within VA and FedRAMP Marketplace. In this role, I engaged in NIST RMF Security Control selection and evidence documentation, while developing a strong understanding of Enterprise Mission Assurance Support Service (eMASS) as a system of record.

Cybersecurity Program Manager (contract : VA OIT PES DTC)
This role was a Contractor position providing service to the US Department of Veterans Affairs Office of Information Technology Product Engineering Services Digital Transformation Center and required a Public Trust Security Clearance.
I guided multiple large scale Office of Information and Technology (OIT) Enterprise-level Information Systems (IS) through the General Services Administration (GSA) FedRAMP process. Most of the projects I managed were stalled in process for significant durations.
This required ongoing, regular direction and management of a wide variety of technical security architecture, requirement, and compliance teams.
To deliver in this role, I developed subject matter expertise on a variety of Guidance documents, Federal Regulations and VA Directives, including NIST 800-60, VA Dir. 6500, and FIPS 199, to ensure FedRAMP Privacy and Security requirements were achieved.

Cybersecurity Project Manager (contract : VA OIT PES DTC)
As a small business owner in the advertising industry, I managed a wide variety of competing
obligations and demands.
Time management was critical to the success of my business. I established and maintained relationships, captured media, created campaigns and content, wrote and shared social media posts, and managed social media of my own brands.
I networked aggressively while communicating the value of my unique methodology and perspective to customers who largely have no experience with the value of advertising. I was able to successfully establish and maintain relationships with multiple top performing leaders in a regulated industry (I502).
Over 5 years in two iterations, the agencies shared approximately 70,000 pieces of content across social media channels for dozens of client brands. Our focus was on establishing new brands' social media presence through aggressive and consistent branded photos and videos. In this, we consistently generated success with results of establishing 2,000-10,000 followers within 6 months, often in highly specified, boutique marketspaces. Further, we coordinated events and multi-stage advertising collaborating print, radio, social media, and television ad spends.

I worked at Centralia College in the IT Department while pursuing my Associate's degree. I provided technical support and systems management. Each class session had specific software requirements – I helped build and deploy student and staff systems via WDS across many labs in several buildings throughout the college campus and off-campus annex. I learned how State and Federal regulations apply to tech in education, and gained experience with management of FERPA obligations in a fast-paced technical environment.

IT Technician II (WA State classified)
At Apple, I provided guidance to Tier 1 and Tier 2 technical support agents as a Senior Advisor. This required a knowledge of scope limitations for a variety of service types delivered by many contractor providers. After being recognized for leading my team to successes, I was invited to a variety of team rotations.
This included the Callback Team, the Quality Assurance team, and the Initiative Ambassador team. In that team, I presented new processes and cultural initiatives to Teams throughout the company with a focus on adjusting the message to the audience – front line technicians, management, and quality assurance teams.
My final role was on an Executive Escalations team, addressing issues that were not resolved over several interactions with Apple Advisors and high priority escalations from Government entities, celebrities, and large scale organizations, while demonstrating the key values of Apple culture and maintaining all role relevant KPIs.
