About
Michelle’s technical and professional background is broad and industry-diverse. She was an independent Oracle DBA, custom app developer and technical architect for many years. Industry, technology and regulatory changes influenced her transition into project management, and finally IT audit and controls consulting. Michelle has delivered IT audit services to such diverse industries as entertainment/broadcasting, financial services, cloud services, transportation and healthcare. Michelle’s client recommendations attest to her ability to hit the ground running in a new environment, and possessing the interpersonal skills to develop productive relationships quickly.
Michelle’s audits have been equally diverse over the past ten years. In addition to numerous SOX ITGC evaluation, documentation and testing engagements, Michelle has performed dozens of operational audits in the information technology and risk management areas. These have included reviews of enterprise architecture, corporate project management, business continuity/disaster recovery (BC/DR) and many other processes. Michelle has traveled to India to perform control audits on two major outsourcing technology vendors.
Michelle maintains certification as a Project Management Professional (PMP), Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA), and Certified Internal Auditor (CIA). Michelle is currently pursuing her CPA certification. Michelle is a member of the following technical and professional organizations: IEEE, ACM, PMI, IIA, ISACA and AICPA.
Michelle is well-educated in areas directly relevant to the delivery of her services including Master of Professional Accountancy (Financial Reporting & Assurance specialization), Georgia State University; Master’s Certificate in Project Management, George Washington University; Master’s Certificate in Business Administration, Tulane University; and Bachelor of Science, Business Administration with Computer Science Option, University of New Orleans.
