Serves as a systems engineer in the systems deployment and sustainment life cycle performing security analysis activities. Perform security related tasked including but not limited to identification and analysis of system and component software security requirements to determine security criticality, advise product teams on meeting those requirement and controlling potential vulnerabilities. Supports the review of design, engineering analysis, and test data to evaluate compliance with software security requirements and adequacy of vulnerability controls. Assists senior Cyber SE staff in producing software security hazard analysis of software design and operations to identify potential vulnerabilities and their causes. Evaluate controls, mitigations, and track vulnerability closures; preparing, including the coordination with the Prime customer, security assessment reports along with other security documents. Perform site security assistance visits (SAV) to assess program implementation of and adherence to the Program Protection Management Plan (PPMP) and compliance with the DD Form 254 at sites where GMD program activity is conducted, ensure that site staff is adhering to government security requirements, ensure security requirements protect both CPI and non-CPI, provide feedback and a timeline to complete action items and the submit final report. Perform controls validation testing (CVT) and Penetration Team testing. This involves running Defense Information Systems Agency (DISA) security scripts and computer hacker tool scripts on the classified systems.
