Analyzed incident response reports on Qualys VMDR platform to identify current security gaps on assets, which led to a 30% increase in vulnerability management.
Developed a plan to allocate subnets for a network in order to minimize traffic passing through the router and making it easier and faster for data to be received. This made for a 25% decrease in network congestion.

I initially come from a background in Social Work and am transitioning into the world of tech. I found my love for Cyber Security through curiosity. I was intrigued by how much security online was being compromised and wanted to find out more about it and how that could happen. The more research I did, the more I learned about different ransomware and phishing scams that were out there. I wanted to know how to best defend against these kinds of attacks. I found that there was a need for Cybersecurity specialists and I decided that I was going to become one. I want to help defend against those who would exploit people's information for their own gain.
Currently I am learning through my school the skills I will need to be a great security analyst. I have learned skills such as Linux, Virtualization working with Opnsense in my courses up to this point. I am also learning on my own through websites such as Qualys, Coursera, Let's Defend, TryHackMe and Hack the Box. Once my education at Per Scholas comes to an end I plan to continue my education in Cyber Security and procure more certifications such as CompTiA PenTest+ ,CEH ( Certified Ethical Hacker) and CompTIA Network+ certifications. I plan on continuing to learn and grow to become the best possible Cyber Security specialist I can be.
