Lead Security Engineer/DBA/Sys Admin
o Designed architecture and led development team of the Medical Materiel Mobilization Planning Tool (M3PT) for the U.S. Army by leveraging an innovative Web framework that allowed for separation of presentation, business logic, and database tiers, along with using hardware and software clustering methods. The M3PT system calculates troop issue, optical, vaccination, and authorized equipment requirements for units prior to deployment. System was utilized on 9/11 the first day to deploy supplies for the forward troops per direct contact with Secretary of Defense Rumsfield’s office.
o Modernized an IBM mainframe application into a cutting-edge web-based supply-ordering system and catalog maintenance system for the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services Supply Support Center. This system assisted in research and supply ordering for U.S. Embassies and Indian Health Services (IHS). An evolutionary approach was used so that the key catalog search and ordering functions could go into the web-enabled application quickly while interfacing with the backend mainframe processes and phasing in other features. Technologies used include : Interbase, SQL Server, Delphi, Website Pro, ColdFusion, FoxPro, Monarch, Data Junction, and Perl.
o Assisted on multiple bid and proposal efforts totaling over $35 million in revenue for a SDVOSB.
o Consulted on multiple Department of Defense Logistics and Clinical projects including DMLSS, DBSS, CHCS, NMIS, and others.
o Completed successful implementation of catalog and E-Commerce website for a 35,000-member Group Purchasing Organization (GPO) for physician offices and surgery centers. Medigroup is now a multi-million dollar company.
