Cyber Security Engineer
Accountable and responsible for providing leadership and program management within the TVA Cybersecurity organization. Plan, design and implement agency level cybersecurity programs in order to safeguard TVA from cybersecurity compromise. Work with multiple business units to provide subject matter expertise and identify appropriate cybersecurity monitoring, defense and incident response plans for a diverse range of IT and ICS equipment. Support internal and external security assessments, audits and remediation of findings for NERC/CIP and FISMA compliance. Team lead over both Cybersecurity Engineering and Design and Cybersecurity Infrastructure teams responsible for the project management, engineering and implementation monitoring infrastructure of 64 substations and 2 isolated data centers. The infrastructure being designed and implemented consists of Cisco ASA 5585 firewalls, 62 Cisco 4431 routers and 2 4451 routers, 3 vShere Datacenters, over 80 Gigamon network tap locations, over 200 IPSec tunnels, 150 VMware hosts, and approximately 750 virtual servers consisting of Linux and Windows 2016. Also support Windows active directory, radius services, DNS and DHCP and all supporting tools for change management and Cybersecurity Incident Response capabilities.

Senior Cybersecurity Specialist accountable for the daily operations, strategic planning, policy adherence and support of infrastructure in support of cybersecurity tools. Develop strategic relationships with TVA department and external agencies to enhance the cyber security posture for TVA. Develop standards and provide leadership for a 7-person cyber security operations team supporting a IT systems and network infrastructure across 7 states which maintains compliance with NERC/CIP and FISMA standards. Develop and lead internal LEAN Six Sigma projects for Enterprise Information Security and Policy organization.

My passion is to secure and protect people's data. With over 15 years of Cyber Security experience and 30 years of Information Technology background, my unique set of skills have enabled me to become an effective and efficient Cyber Security Engineer.
I function well on my own but truly value a diverse team that shares the same passion for performance that I have. I enjoy being creative in solving complex problems, thrive in productive environments and keep up with ever-changing technologies. I have worked as a Cybersecurity lead and Engineer, Network Engineer, SAN storage admin, Linux systems engineer, developed and managed teams, and driven multiple high-value projects to success.
When I am not working my day job, I enjoy working in my woodshop and spending time with my family.
