My overarching responsibility in the organization involves working closely with C-Level company executives to plan for and execute the company's longterm technology strategies in a way that compliments the business and makes the most efficient use of the companies often variable IT budget.
As one of MLHC's IT Division Managers, I am also responsible for general systems administration which includes : planning for MLHC’s email system growth and upgrades, and file backup and recovery of the core server infrastructure. I am also part of a team of two responsible for datacenter facilities management, including physical server infrastructure, power systems and cooling.
I am also tasked with the maintaining the security of the company's data. The responsibilities for protecting the company's data include : server storage assets monitoring and maintenance, file and email encryption, devising company machine security baselines, vulnerability scanning and verification, external and internal security audits, regulatory compliance and employee security training. I am a partner in devising the curriculum for training company employees on electronic fraud detection and the general safe use of a computer.
I also partner in MLHC’s visualization infrastructure design and management.
My responsibilities still include everything that I was responsible for when acting as a Senior System Administrator.

About
As IT Division Manager, I work with three other individuals to help Mother Lode Holding Company discover, design and implement all of the technical assets that the organization needs now and in the future.
I am part of a small team of System Administrators who support a user base of over 700 employees. All of the company's employees work in remote offices from California to Wyoming to Texas. We are able to keep our team small by using new and well designed technologies to keep unnecessary complexity out of our Datacenter.
